Shirley Mae Bagley Lunte, 88, died on Thursday, December 21, the first day of Winter. She is survived by her 5 children, Liz Hanson, Merrie Rampy, Sue Knudsen, Lou Lunte Jr., Paul Lunte and their respective families. Shirley was a determined advocate for fairness, justice, education, and children. She was a strong woman who demonstrated the importance of understanding history, not repeating mistakes, and paying attention to the details of our daily lives, most importantly, our families. She was proud of all of us for our individual accomplishments and greatest of those are the ones involving doing the right thing for the greater good. Shirley, and her partner in life and love, Louis Christian Lunte, Sr. who passed away on the first day of Spring in 2011, will be celebrating their anniversary together again this year.
