Obituary for Michael G Metcalf

Michael G Metcalf
Michael Gene Metcalf passed away on May 13 2018,
due to liver cancer complications. He was 68 years old.
Mike was surrounded by his loving family at the time
of his passing. He is remembered in love by his mom
Dolores, his brother Tim, his sister Linda, his wife Kay,
his 3 sons Andy, Adam, Aaron, his daughter Auburn,
his 7 grandkids and many cousins and friends.
Mike was a disabled Vietnam Veteran who
served in the Army in the 101st Airborne as a
Helicopter Crew Chief.
Mike never let his disabilities bring him down and
loved hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending
time with his family. As of recent, you could find Mike
walking with his wife Kay and his service dog Rufus
around the mall, in mountains and at various trailheads
around Missoula. People who were close to Mike
enjoyed his charismatic attitude and his ability to walk
up to anyone and start a conversation. Mike's family
and the Missoula community will miss his spontaneity
and free willed hippie-like kindness.
Please join Mike's family for the memorial service to
take place at the Western Montana State Veterans
Cemetery on 6-8-18 at 11:30, followed by his
celebration of life which will be a potluck BBQ held at
Franklin Park, 2100 S 10th St W. around 1:00.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family appreciates
any donations to go to their Go Fund Me Page
