— James "Jim" Charles Robinson, 50, was born on Aug. 3, 1967, and passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in Missoula.
Jim grew up in California and after high school decided to make a change and moved to Missoula, leaving behind many friends that he kept close with. Most of his close friends and all his family lovingly called him “Jimmy”. He then made Missoula his home and true to his outgoing personality made many friends quickly. In 1996, he started dating Tiffany Kelleher and married her in 2000, the same year his daughter was born. In 2004, they embarked on an adventure to start their own business, Mission Mattress & More. His ability to connect with people was incredible. He could sell ice to an Eskimo! Jim was very giving to local charities, making countless donations. He enjoyed boating with family and friends. Most importantly was the time spent with his daughter, Samantha at Flathead Lake. He was always giving boat rides and offering a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Jim attended and supported every single one of Samantha’s ASA softball games throughout the years, cheering loudly in the stands. His infectious laugh, big smile and big bear hugs will be missed. There will be an incredible void in the many hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by Tiffany; his daughter Samantha; mother Sandi Spoon; grandmother Florence Charlton; mother-in-law Kathy; dad Jim Spoon; close family friend Jason Kent as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Charles “PA” Charlton; aunt Cindy; uncle Barry and cousin Justin.
His ashes will be buried in California next to “PA” who he loved deeply. May he be at peace.
Memorial Celebration of Life is at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, at Sunset Memorial, 7405 Mullan Road, Missoula. Please bring stories to share with everyone, especially for Samantha.
